Continuing Shifts

When you have exited and restarted CSM for any reason and need to resume processing transactions you have the option to Continue a Shift that is already open instead of opening a new one.

• Select Shift on the main CSM screen.
  
• Optionally an employee given permissions to use Show All Shifts can select Show All Shifts to view all shifts in the Select Shift drop-down list.
  
•   Optionally an employee given permissions to use Show All Shifts can select All Open to view all open shifts in the Select Shift drop-down list  
  
• Choose the Shift already in progress from the Select Shift drop-down list.
  
• Select Continue Shift.
  
• Select Register to begin processing transactions. 
  

Note: If a Shift is continued that was not started today, a warning message will appear. It is not recommended to Continue a Shift from a previous day. You must select OK to continue the Shift.
