Customize Register




This tab is where you create, customize and name the tabs across the top of the register. Each Tab has a unique Tab ID. Every menu must have a Register tab. You can choose to add as many tabs as you would like. You will need to adjust the Tab Height to accommodate the additional tabs.


Tab Options:

Tab Text – Enter the text to appear on the tab.

Tab ID – This is a unique identifier for each tab in a set, and can be used to select the tab to make changes to. Selecting the tab will also set this dropdown to the active tab.

Register Tab – Select this to set a tab as the Register screen.

Queue Tab – Select this to set a tab as the Queue order screen.

Show Menu – Select this, then select the menu page to be shown on a tab

Default Tab – Select this to make the tab the one the menu starts on (defaults back to).

Show Tab – Select this to show another tab set when the tab is selected. Remember when using this feature to build a button to return back to the main tab set.

Clear all tabs – Select this to clear all of the tabs and the pages attached to them.

Clear all tabs – Select this to clear all of the tabs and the pages attached to them.

Add Row – Select this to add a row of tabs.

Add Tab – Select this to add a tab to the existing row.

Text Color – Select this to change the selected tab’s text color.

Back Color – Select this to change the selected tab’s color.

Copy Tab – Select this to make a copy of the select tab.

Add Image – Select this to attach a picture or graphic to the selected tab.

Clear Image – Select this to delete a picture or graphic from the selected tab.

Remove Tab – Select this to delete the selected tab.

Font – Select this to change the font size and style of the selected tab.

Tab Height – Use the up and down arrows to adjust the height of the tab.

Schedule this Tab Set - This feature allows you to schedule a menu to appear and be available during a specified date and time. Select a Begin and End Date. For specified times, enter in a Start and Stop Time.

New Set -This is how you create a new/separate row of tabs.

Edit Set – Select this to make changes to the selected Tab Set.

Export XML – Export the selected tab set to an XML file.

Import XML – Import a previously exported tab set from an XML file.

Remove Set – Select this to remove the select Tab Set.

Update Set - This is how you save changes to the tabs.

Cancel Set – Select this to cancel changes on the selected set.

Tab Set ID – Unique ID identifier for a Tab Set.

Description – Description of the Tab Set.

Default Tab Set - Enable this to have the selected set of tabs to show as the default list.

Reg # - Enter in the Register number for this Tab Set to be assigned to.

Builder Screen - This is where you create and customize your various Builder style pages. You can have multiple Builder style pages.

Button Design - This is where you create and customize your various Button style pages.

List Mode - This is where you create and customize the items to show as a list on the menu instead of buttons.

F5=Inventory - Select the F5 key as a short cut to Inventory Maintenance from any Customize Tab.



Customize Register


Creating a New Tab Set

  • Select New Set.
  • Enter a Tab Set ID and Description. For example: Summer Menu. 
  • Enter a Reg #. Typically this is 1, unless you have multiple registers. In that case, enter the appropriate Register number for the menu to appear on. 
  • Select Show Menu and attach a menu page to a Tab. 
  • Enter a name in the Tab Text field.
Note: You must have a Tab assigned as Register Tab before saving the Tab Set.
  • Continue building the Tab Set by following the steps below (see Creating a New Tab and Assigning menu pages to a Tab).
  • Select Save Set to save changes. 
Note: The Tab Sets will store in the program. A Tab Set will not be visible on the menu until it is selected as the Default Tab Set.


Creating a new Tab
  • Select Edit Set.
  • Select Add Tab
  • Move the new Tab to the desired place on the menu header. This is where the Tab will appear and what it will look like. Use the Right-click options to make changes to the shape and color of the button. 
  • Select Update Set to save changes. 

Assigning menu pages to a Tab
  • Select Edit Set.
  • Select a Tab ID from the drop-down list.
  • Enable Show Menu and select the desired menu page from the drop-down list.
  • Enter a Tab name in the Tab Text field. 
  • Select Update Set to save changes.

Scheduling a Tab
  • Select Edit Set.
  • Select a specific Tab ID to schedule a specific Tab (optional).
  • Select Schedule the Tab Set.
  • Select a Begin and End Date and enter a Start and Stop Time. 
  • Select Update Set to save changes. 

Removing a Tab
  • Select Edit Set.
  • Select the Tab to be deleted. 
  • Select Remove Tab.
  • Select Update Set to save changes. 
Note: The menu page will not be deleted. Remove Tab will only delete the Tab from the menu. To delete a menu page, see Removing a menu page in the Builder and Button sections.


Removing a Tab Set
  • Select an existing Tab Set from the menu in the lower, right-hand corner. 
  • Select Remove Set.
  • Select Yes to permanently delete the Tab Set. 

Note: You must have another Tab Set selected as the Default Tab Set before deleting the Tab Set.
